Default Bike delivery

Hello all
I got myself a bike on flea bay last weekend. It's in Kent and i'm in Herts. Picking it up might be a problem - the seller is not that available so we're struggling to find a mutual day and time to collect it.
It might be better for me to pay someone with a van to pick it up. Can anyone make any recommendations before I resort to the yellow pages?
Cheers in advance
Mary

Is it taxed?

Can you get it insured for 7 days cheap and ask a mate to ride it home for you?

i will look out the details of the company i used when i get home.

I bought my bike 3 years in Stafford and had it shipped up to Scotland. I phoned the company on the Wednesday night about 5 ish. Bike was picked up Thursday morning at 11 and I had it delivered Friday evening at 5.

If i remember correctly then it cost me £189. Much cheaper than hiring a van, fuel etc ot getting a train then fuel etc.

Aren't the C1H and C6F pretty much identical bikes anyway, except K dropped the black and went with blue, or vice versa? They sure look the same to me.

My bike was 88 miles away in Derby.
It wasn't taxed(I'm presuming yours will be), so had to find a Post Office pretty sharpish, naughty naughty really. I'd insured it the week before, and the dealer had the MOT. My other half got on a train, and picked it up for me.

Is there any reason why you couldn't do this?
