Last month I changed oil in my SV650 and riding it whole time until I stopped for a quick maintenance check. The oil level is right at the F line, but the manual says it should be between the L and F. Is it safe to ride my SV650 at this point? Are there any chances of engine damage? Does anyone ride their SV650 with oil filled to the F line?
Thanks in advance for your inputs. |

Yep mines always closer to F than L.
If your concerned go absolutely tonto for a few miles. If its above the F line you'll start running into some problems and below L the engine will go 'Bang!'

As others, I wouldnt really worry about it. It'll burn off on its own anyway. Common issues with overfilling oil is "dodgy" gear changes but if you've no issues, then leave it alone

Up to and including at the 'F' line is fine.

The ideal time to check is when the oil is warmed up, stop it and allow to stand for a minute or 2, and check with the bike held upright, not leaning on the side-stand.
