Default Which headlight bulbs are best?

I want to replace my standard headlight bulbs for brighter ones, Can I get simple "plug and play" ones or do I need to go for the HID conversion kits.

Dont really want to go for the HID ones I just want brighter bulbs, dont know if this is possible tho.

Thanks Mark

HID not very good on curvey SV bikes due to reflector (better on the pointy), get some top Philips/Osram bulbs, also HID is MOT fail now

So is there a proper solution, ie a full kit including headlight unit?

I've got some Philips Extreme Xenons in on the bike and in the car, they are extremely bright and give you much better vision in the dark and they last a long time too, worth every penny.

Yep if the unit is HID designed, but it is only allowed vehicles with 'self levelling suspension' (i.e. Air suspension)

The phillips and the osrams have brighter bulbs out this year, which look promising
