I checked my tyres a day or two after being fitted and the front was only at about 27 psi cold!

I always check pressures after getting new tyres fitted! Almost every time they have been over inflated.

To the OP, I'd be checking pressures first and foremost. |

no, the steering should feel stiffer unless you've got a flatter profile than last time (or you were down to the steel bands with the old set!!). Prob pressure as others said

Update.
Checked the pressures in my garage but not sure how accurate the gauge is. 42 psi in both tyres ![]() Lowered pressures to 33F 36R. Will update again when ridden. Thanks peeps. |

they overfill them to get the bead seated... then they are supposed to get them to the correct pressure then balance them.
Berlin loves balancing tires in his kitchen very therapeutic :0) |

Update.
Took bike to the local petrol station and steering still felt stiffer than with old tyres. Pressures checked at 33F 36R. Went for a little blast, no change. I think I maybe mistaken stiff for "planted". The old tyres were squared off, factory fitted with nearly 9000 miles on them. On twistys it's definately more lean and less turn than the old tyres. Can't wait until there properly scrubbed in. ![]() |
