Hi folks well, ive been fitting new lines to my sv650s k3 & the front was a doddle but it seems that the rear may be short. I put it side to side next to the old hose and it seems the same but when fitting it falls short & this may have something to do with the length and the fact that the banjos/hose are thinner meaning some length is lost. I also noticed that my rear wheel is adjusted just past the half way mark on the swingarm measurement scale (the chain is just within spec but will be replaced next month).
This cant be right cant it? surely the length of the hose should be enough with some room for movement/max adjustment up the whole swingarm scale? or is it because the chain is almost at the limit? The box says guaranteed for life and i no longer have the receipt (the hoses have been sitting for around 2 years until i got the bike back on the road) What are the chances of me getting a replacement ![]() ![]() ![]()

Phone them up at their Exeter HQ and talk to the sales department. They will probably swap the line for you. PS I had a GoodRidge Rear as well and the rear banjo was 90deg out of line so I couldn't fit it without it twisting. They sorted that ASAP

PS Make sure the banjo on the master cylinder is pointing in the right direction to maximise length.

Nae luck, they've tested/measured it & say its within spec and without any purchase info they wont replace it. They can only offer another one for 24.99 & say it would be exactly the same (why not a bit longer?)
I know i dont need to replace the sprockets & chain just yet but to get the new one to fit i would have to move the wheel back in causing too much slack outwith the measured spec. No point in buying a chain only as its cheaper to buy the whole lot in one go. I dont know wether to refit the old oem rubber house until im ready to get a new chain/sprockets & do the whole lot or if i can get a new pipe ordered elswhere with a bit extra on it. Can i use goodridge hoses on the front and the suzuki oem on the rear? Looks like i will be asking them to send the old one back ![]() Im at a loss to understand how the new hose cant be long enough to allow further adjustment of the back wheel with chain stretch.

I have a set that I will be fitting in a day or two. What length is yours and I will measure mine to see if there is a discrepancy.

this is why i use Venhill and order my own lengths and fittings. ok so they cost more but i get the fit i want and if it's wrong then i'm the only one to blame.

Its at goodridge so i cant measure it, all i know is that its the same length as the OEM one but because goodrige use a thinner type of banjo that the bolt and washer go through it just misses the caliper hole.If you look at the oem suzuki hose you will see that the banjo it twice the thickness. The hose by goodridge should have at least an extra 1 inch on it to allow for this for this & swingarm movement as the oem hose is rubber so it can stretch to allow for the swingarm moving.
