lucky to even get up to be honest.I have seen a guy knocked out and break his collarbone in 2 places with a much smaller crash than that.

@konceppt If you heard that almighty crash and then saw that the rider is more or less intact, you'd call your friends too

I think going through that advertising board (or whatever that white thing he went through is) may have slowed him down before hiting the wall

I guess the problem was target fixation. He probably was expecting the outside of the curve to be clear, but the red car was partially parked in his lane. He panicked and instead of going a little bit to his left (plenty of space) he concentrated on the red car.
