Default Question for a pro mechanic - 30K mile servicing?

Took my front wheel off last week to replace the bearings and it was torqued up so tight it took a 3ft extension on the wrench to undo the axle. Then I found the speed sensor drive crushed. So I'd like to know if any of the below requires the front wheel to be removed?

1) MOT
2) 30,000 mile service

Unless the 30k service included any suspension, wheel bearing or speedo drive repairs uncovered during the regular service activities. Last tyre change is probably where to point the finger first.

You need to detail the model and year for the service.
Not all offer the same .
We have cars at 3 years 30k only have a level 1 & Mot
Mot no dismantling .

Sounds like a lazy tyre fitter with a windy gun.
The first few turns should be tight (I use a 2ft breaker to start them, through me shoulder hating too much pressure) and a standard 1/2" ratchet should do it

None of the services specifically say it to my knowledge, I've had a check done on tyre changes in the past

Was the fork oil changed?
