Default Suspension adjusting help needed

Howdy y'all. I've got a 2012 XJR1300 that I'd like to ride a bit harder. The suspension is pretty plush, and I'm 90kg nude so think it should be set-up differently anyway (it came on stock settings from the dealer, unless they didn't set it up. I wouldn't know). I don't want to feck a brand new bike by tinkering with it. Changing the pre-load seemed simple enough, but as compression and rebound settings also both "harden" or "soften" the suspension, I don't want to make a poop of it by using wrong, extreme, or worse combinations of the three.

Would anybody be able to tell me how each should be set in relation to another (i.e. if I harden preload by 2 clicks, what is an appropriate amount for compression and rebound settings?).

Alternatively, could any badass (Raf?) local to Egham give me a hand setting it up for me and my riding?

Many thanks in advance!

You'd probably get more sensible responses in the tech section. In here you'll just get sniggering about riding in the nude!

I have ridden pillion on an XJR 1300 in just a bikini. Mr LPH liked it so much he bought one. The bike, not a bikini. No idea how he's got it set up but I'll ask him.

When I first got the thunderace mine was as hard as it gets but I've softened it up since then.

But that's enough about my fetishes.

Yeah, I've heard you like it hard at the rear, soft in front? It gives you better handling or something?

Difficult to handle soft at the front, can't get decent grip.
