Default Mechanical to digital speedo/tacho conversion

Anyone on the forum tried anything like this?

I was quite happily going to put the old speedo and tacho back on the z750 project bike but a 'mate' put the idea of a digital device in my mind.

I can't seem to forget about it now and those R&R meters look a little tacky anyways...

easy, most of the time the digital rev counters take a pulse off the coils, digital speedo is just a sensor on the front or rear wheel with a magnet for the pulse. setting them up is the hard part.
