Default Pointy K3 Airbox

Hi,

When I changed my air filter to a k&n filter, I noticed some of the screws that seal the Airbox is stripped and just spinning due to previous owner. I've put some bigger screws in and it worked but I tightened 2 of them too much and that's stripped too. Box is made like cheese.

Bits of the air box isn't fully sealed. Would this cause much problem with running issues (heat soak etc)?

Many thanks, Ben.

Take the screws out and the top off then run some glue into the screw holes (if it's really runny and the holes go all the way through remember to put some tape or similar underneath). When he glue has set (use a two pack like Araldite or an epoxy) then simply redrill the holes and use the original screws.

Tip, if you're really careful you can drill the holes before the glue has gone completely hard which makes it a bit easier.
