While me and my bike are laid up, I'm catching up on a lot of jobs I've wanted to do but never had the time... One of those being proper horns that you can hear over my end can!
FIAMM seems to be the one to go for, but I'm not sure exactly what i'm looking for... M&P offer this: http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=533172 Which is direct replacement, but I'm sure Fiamm do full on aihorns with compressors etc... has anyone fitted these, and how did you find it? Ideally I'm hoping for a deeper note as well, rather than "PEEP" A wee bit of Ebay searching reveals Dukes of Hazzard horns!

Dunno, but Fiamm used to be THE name in horns. Old-fashioned air horns needed a separate compressor the size of a beer can - has that changed? Also, there was a slight delay in use as the compressor wound itself up. If you go for the horns in the link, fit two: one of each tone. Air horns usually came in pairs - a high and a low trumpet to create the best discordant noise. :P

Ah, hadn't thought of that... I was thinking of going with 2 of the lows, but having both would probably get attention better as a result of sounding horrendous

two-tone horns are standard fit in many cars these days. Definitely worth it if you want to attract attention. Not a good idea if you happen to catch the horn button accidentally...

It looks pretty simple actually... Specially on a faired bike, you don't need to look for anywhere pretty for it to go

I've got one of those on my SV, though i had to run a relay to the battery for the extra current they draw. Much, much louder though.

A decent sounding car horn would do it? I'm firtting a standard Rover unit, cos it's small and loud, not like a beeep more like a Haaaaaaaaaaaaaarnk!
