Default Question on Bar end mirrors on 03 SK3

Hope some of you can help me on this. I want to clean up my front fairing and fit bar end mirrors, specifically these:

http://www.tobefast.com/detail.aspx?ID=37

They can be mounted in between the stock bar ends and grips, but they need 10 mm strip of handlebar, which means the grips and control clusters need to be moved in slightly. There seems to be the space to do that, but how big a job is it to do so? One of the wrenches at my local dealer thought that there might be a locating pin in the throttle side control cluster, which if true would complicate matters a bit...

The alternative is to buy custom bar end adapters from CRG (who make the mirrors

http://www.constructorsrg.com/produc...t/adapter.html

It would be a neater installation just to mount them on the handlebars though isf

Would love to hear idea from all you guys...

Yes there is a locating pin on both sides it is located at the back end of the swithches on both sides it would involve drilling anther hole ten mm nearer to the fork in line with the existing hole it is an easy job.

I remember bar end mirrors from the sixty's. I'am sure I've got one in my shed (BOF)
A rawplug type thingy locked them into the bars.

They should give you a better rear view than the standard Suzi mirrors, will it fold back out of the way for filtering?
Let us know how you get on.

The CRG mirrors clamp onto the stock bar or use a bar end adapter, so I wouldn't think this would be a problem.

Yes indeed, they fold back! The ones I' have in mind are called Hindsight LS (LS for Lane Splitter).

Good for lane splittting and for egress through basement doors in the winter
