Default got it dyno'd

I had my sv on a rolling road this weekend, Its a k4 svs with a scorpion race can, i got 72bhp at the rear wheel, is this about average? It was running a bit rich at the top end though, ive heard some of you mention getting it set up with a yoshi box, does anyone know where the nearest one to Norwich is? Cheers

sounds pretty good to me. Coombest had his up to 82 at the crank with his scorpion after the yoshi treatment...

Did you get it done at SeaStar's?

If so, how much was it?

Just need to find the nearest place with one!
Blackwatch - Yea it was seastar at the brickmakers pub on monday. It was for charity an only cost £20. I am pretty certain though that they do it for £20 every first saturday of the month on a first come first served basis!

What's the yoshi treatment? Is this where the hook the box up to your electrics to make it run better ?

Its a much cheaper way of sorting your fueling, Rather than having to buy a power commander the yoshi box re-maps your original ECU. I think it usually costs about £100, but finding somewhere that has one is my problem!!!

Arn't power commanders for K3 machines onwards? Can the older curvy model be sorted in this way?

No, you would have to get your bike dyno jetted, about £80 - £100 for the kit then some dyno time on top.

72 bhp sounds reasonable, i had mine dynod bog standard at 69.6, so youve got another 2 bhp from the can i expect it boosted the midrange by a larger margin though.

i still dont have an aftermarket can yet, im still considering putting a 2.3L 1986 granada ghia x engine in , just cant get it in without it catching the swingarm.....and the tank, and the forks, and the floor, .....
