Default A new idea for handlebar risers??

Already posted this to chewwy 22 but thought i'd broadcast it a bit wider.

the plugs that screw into the top of the fork stanchion (99 curvy s model)
can these be modified / new ones fabricated (made longer so they stick up about 40mm from top yoke) so's that the clip on that currently sits under the top yoke can sit on top of the top yoke fastened to these extensions??
I know i would probably have to relocate the master cylinder inboard a bit but all the risers i have seen have been either sun type or a top yoke / clamps / handlebars off a naked model.
Can anyone see this not working as i have an old GPz 550 that uses the same principle and just has a set screw into the top yoke to stop the clip on unscrewing the plug.

If this is a viable idea can someone put me in touch with a machine shop that can make these..

cheers

There was a guy from the Wirral who did this on a curvy when they 1st come out. He lifted the fairing and tank up to keep the same visual line, but this meant he lost the use of the steering lock? There are probably some pics of it still in the old forum. I talked to him about it at the time and he had no problems with it. A local engineering shop manufactured them for him. I have fitted the LSL conversion and the riding position is so much better and you still have the wind protection from the fairing. I had a Honda F2B in the 80's and the riding position was so much better than clip on's. Suppose thats fashion for you!

Hi,
It's a new top yoke with clamps to fit normal handlebars. There was a pic of my bike on the 2004 rideout section, showing it. Maybe one of the computer experts can reshow it?
