Default Speed sensor, on sk1 but maybe on others too

Hi all,

anyone ever had major trouble when the speedo stopped reading?

I've had trouble recently and origionally thought it was the wiring, tried to sort that, but still didn't fix it.

Turns out it was the magnet in the front wheel.

It's a magnetic tube with 4 lugs on (which 'lock' into place on the wheel), these lugs had broken off and ground to dust so technically my wheel wasn't spinning round.

Anyone ever had this problem?

Currently bodged together with some araldite stuff and trying to source a new one, any ideas on price? or will i need the whole new lower wiring and sensor

Any idea's why this might have happened?

That's all folkes

Common when the wheel isn't refitted properly.
