how does this work??
ok i have a question.
when me and mny mate katie are sat at a set of traffic lights and we have a play (um . . drag race) i can always beat he until i get to 45mph then she comes flying past me, i have a 33bhp naked k4 with 13500miles and am alot heavier than her, she has a 72bhp naked k5 with 5000miles both in fast black, i understand that she will keep going when i hit my restrictor but why can i beat her off at the lights?? i think it because i am just better. any other theorys |

the twins create power low down, so the restrictor does not play a huge part untill the revs are in the mid range & thats when she overtakes you.
The launch is probably because you have better throtle/clutch control and are able to put more power down quicker.
