Bike delivery - SV650.org

Hey,

Is there a service that delivers bikes and has anyone used it? Any idea how costly it is? I guess if you park a bike by a post box with enough stamps on it it wouldnt get delivered?

There are specialist bike carriers advertising in the MCN and other mags, some parcel courier services will offer this service, but it can be as cheap to hire a van or a bike trailer and do it yourself.

I used to drive a covered car transporter which we had converted to carry bikes as well, but unfortunately most of my loads were crashed or stolen recovered

there are loads of them out there at diffrent prices but they all seemed to cost loads

have u though about renting a van for the day?

How far away is the bike ? Might be worthwhile riding it back yourself.

Bought a wee TW125 from Rainbow in Rotherham last August. Had checked out van hire etc but with fuel it was quite expensive. Also checked delivery but was approx 300 quid.

So went on the train, Glasgow to Rotherham for 72 skwid and a fiver for a taxi then rode it back on £13 petrol - saved a wee fortune

Thats me keepin up the tight Scots git reputation
