I'm mot sure, I think they stop the bike popping so much with a aftermarket can.

Sure someone with better info will be along soon!

Now i think the SV ignition is retarded in 2nd & 3rd gear (to help get through the noise/emissions regulations) this causes it to be held back slightly, the eliminator does away with this so you get a touch more power in 2nd & 3rd gears.
In all honesty i dont think you would notice any difference by fitting one, some people say they do & some say they don't.

IMHO The TRE Fools the bike into thinking it is in 5ht gear (or top) in some cases. As already mentioned this removes the retard from the ignition map in 2nd and 3rd gears. I fittedf an equivalent on mine (Nikko G Pack) and the throttle response was more punchy in the lower gears. I must say that this was all done in conjunction with other mods Pipe, filter, fuelling set up, ignitiomn advancere and a smaller front sprocket. Some will tell you that the same can be achieved by removing a wire from the ECu not sure about this - but many people make their own for the fuel injected GSXrs 6800 or 15000 ohm resistor. MM must remeber not tot ype when i've been drinking :0)
