Slip on or full system?
Is there any benifit to going for a full system over just a can? JHS racing said they could make a full system using m4 pipework and a leo vince road legal can (with removable baffle).

Performance wise, not a lot, but the race systems are much lighter.

Unless you have increased the compression ratio, done valve work and replaced the cams. A full system is a waste of money in my opinion on the stock SV650. The differance between a full system and a Slip-on End Can with the stock SV650 is approx. 2 Horse Power at the top-end of the Rev range. Hardly cost effective, if you ask me.
It does keep you from cutting into your stock exhaust system though. Cheers! |

I got a hindle full system for about £400. It's certainly a lot lighter than stock, so helps the handling when wobbling round tesco's carparks. Obviously you can get a slip on can for a lot less, but I like it.

 I just wanted to say that some full systems are a lot cheaper than others. The hindle system is alu BTW.

I think the lightest system would probably be a full titanium exhaust with a carbon fiber End Can. But, they are pricey.
Did you say you have a full aluminum exhaust with the aluminum End Can made by Hindle?  I thought most full exhaust systems were either titanium or stainless steel with choice of End Can?Cheers! |

The can is stainless, but the pipes are certainly alu. Really, they weigh nothing!
