Default More PC questions. Sorry!

2 more for the clever people PC objective secured, and being built in the Secret Dell Bunker as we speak. Incidentally, I got a further £75 off the price on the Dell website by phoning up and squeezing the telesales guy til he cried- worth the hassle of dealing with their awful, awful sales lines.

Anyway, graphics cards and broadband. ATM we have a broadband connection through F9, which is stable but fairly slow, quite expensive too. We don't have a broadband modem either, just the horrendous Belkin wireless which is going in the bin as soon as I can get the cabling laid. So it seems a good time to look for a new broadband ISP, since i can get most of them to chuck in a modem.

Any recommendations? Tiscali's Broadband Talk deals seem pretty good, it's cheaper than my broadband currently and covers all our phone calls too, plus it's 2mb downloadable compared to our current 1mb.

So, are they any good? I'm not going to cut corners if it gives me an unreliable service, for example, and I don't pay the phone bill myself so it's not the end of the world if it doesn't save anything there (though it'd be nice) BT Internet's talk option doesn't work with our existing phone number, which isn't really a good option for us...

And graphics cards, too much choice! I have a budget of £150 tops, but tbh I'd prefer to spend less, and I'm not desperate for top performance, just reasonable. Some sort of 6600GT is a contender, or maybe a Sapphire X1600 Pro... But I'm tempted by the big numbers- there's a BRG 7800GT available at £160, it's overclocked but guaranteed. Or millions of 7600 GS, but I think they're just 128 bit?

Which way to jump? The chassis should deal with a pair of cards, so I'm vaguely considering a dualable card, one for now with another later, if that's a good option... But the real question is, is it worth the extra wedge to go up from the old hat but still good 6600GT?

I'd probably go with with the 6600GT myself, since it's still a pretty damn good card and the price isn't stupid. I tend to stay clear from ATI, I've had some troubles in the past with buggy driver releases but I hear that may be sorted now.

Can't help you with the broadband issues though.
