gear lever adjusting?

i cant get my foot under my gear changer propperly.. can you adjust it so ist higher?

Yes, undo the nut either end of the rod between the lever and the gearbox, note one nut is a reverse thread, look at threads first it should be obvious which way each must be turned to slacken it. Rotate the rod and the pedal will rise and fall, when you're happy with the position of the pedal, nip up the nuts.

If the lever is a long long way too high or too low, then you may need to remove the front fitting and rotate it on the gear change shaft that passes in to the gearbox, this is unusual however, so try the above first.
