I'd like a blue seat cowl for my K5. I looked at the Suzuki site for the price of the official part. It's listed as £42, but there is some small print -
"Prices and specifications subject to change without notice. All prices shown are manufacturers suggested retail prices including VAT and exclude fitting. Dealer prices may vary." Indeed they do - I was quoted £66 !!!! I don't mind a bit of a margin but over 50% seems a bit steep. They wouldn't even consider ordering it until I gave them the paint code, even though I had the part number ...... Has anyone got one of these and, if so, what did you pay ? I'm wondering if different shops charge different prices. Or does another supplier make something comparable ? |

Bought mine from my local Suzuki dealer. £42 quid on the nose. Although they did mention that they manage to sell them on ebay for more .... bizarre :P

I've got a blue cowl & fillets I'm looking to sell, but haven't got the bracket that replaces the grab rail - not sure if you can get the brackets separately

Rigor is spot on. The one on e-Bay from the link above is currently sitting at a bid of £55.
For a second-hand seat cowl that you can buy new for £42 !!!! * Or am I missing something really obvious here ? * If your local dealer isn't a rip-off merchant, that is. Actually, mine wasn't local - they were in Glasgow but there's only a couple nearer ........ |
