Default question reguarding lower fairings, and stripped thread

For those of you that own pointy sv's with the oem lower fairings, the bolt that goes through to the raditor, i belive the thread may have gone, what i need to know is does this bolt acutally go into the radiator? or into something else, is there a way i can fix this problem easily?

I lost the btacket between the fairing and the rad and replaced it with a bent bit of metal strip from B&Q. You can make it really easilly and just use a bolt from the outside, reaching throught the side vent to do the nut up. The rad side just bolts into the alloy cover at the side of the rad, so be carefull not to do it too tight and use plenty of locktight threadlock.
