Would you believe I only just heard the phrase "Winterise your bike" the other day for the first time!!! Yeah no kidding.. and I'm still in This is my first Scottish winter with a motorbike in my possession and as many of you know I come from a Tropical climate...

I want to ride my bike for as long as I can stand the cold and except for days of ice n snow etc. So do I still need to do anything special to my bike to take care of it through this difficult time of year??! Any tips, comments, experiences, smart @rs comments even.. all welcomed.. Cheers!

Spray it with FS365 from scottoiler or the other product? or at least WD40.

Don't even joke about it. Last week I commuted for 4 days (15 mins each way) and that was the only time I rode. So that's 2 hours total.

On Sunday I had to spend 3 hours cleaning it...

Stopped polishing mine a few weeks ago... Half hour on the bike each way for work every day... now the jet wash is a permenant feature at the back of the house to give it a quick blast to take the grime off
Dont bother to wash the wheels during the week.. this is very pointless just now with the naff weather

Gonna get it washed and polished this weekend (including the wheels)
