I wouldn't recommend doing it. You may ALWAYS remember to leave it in neutral, but two things can happen. 1) You can accidentally hit a false neutral (I'll admit I've not had that on my SV 650, but I have had it on other bikes) 2) Someone can mess with you and kick it into gear while it sits unattended. Then you'll hit the start and knock your bike down.

yea u can do it on the cluch there is a lil box type thingi pull it off and goin the two conectors together ...
and also you wont start the bike in gear as the side stand switch is still there!!! the bike will ONLY start in neautral!!!!! sorry for spelling i cba lol |

Bypassing the switch means there's one less 2p electrical component to fail and leave you stranded in the middle of France... And removing the switch gives you an ever so slightly lighter clutch action.
