Hi
I have sold on my clocks to replace them with a simple speedo with magnet pick-up. Now I have searched for MOT requirements but haven't really found any solid info on what is required i.e idiot/warning lights. Does anyone know? Also my other question would be: Would it be possible to fit warning lights INTO the top yoke? I.E by drilling it and somehow mounting LEDS with waterproof cover. Where on earth would I get them anyway if I could find them?! I'm just talking about the necessary ones required to get through the MOT and preferably the fuel warning light. Not even sure how I'd do it but if it's possible.... ![]() I have a spare top yoke anyway so can mess about with that. ![]() |

MY MOT guy says the bare minimum is a neutral indicator. Says I can get away with just that since it's possble(naked bike) for me to see the whether the turn signals working. Something alongs those lines anyways.
So I'll say you only really need a nuetral indicator. For mine I'll be using a green LED in some cool Ally housing ![]() Cheers Ben EDIT: Pic ![]() |

I like that, how are you planning to mount it?
Having some trouble finding a speedo...would prefer to find one that does slightly over 75mph. ![]() |

![]() ![]() The are quite a few(Sigma for sure) that read up to 300kph so I'm surprised you are having problems finding one. Regarding mounting, really having given it any thought. Could be velcroed(not as silly as it sounds ![]() Cheers Ben |

Pinch bolt, never thought of that one.
![]() Vibration Waterproofing them. Where did you get the ally housing ones? Scoured ebay but could only find nasty ones. The ally housing ones look like they might give SOME form of weather protection. |

Motogadget do an idiot light set, but it's expensive... I think Streetfighterstore might do too. Or, you could kill several birds with one expensive stone and get one of the acewell clocks with them inbuilt...

I was nearly decided on a set of these: ![]() £140 & VAT from Banditmania $130 from Electrosport* or ![]() £130 & VAT from Banditmania $150-180 from Electrosport* *(subject to Customs ![]() but it would just **** me off having a tachometer that doesn't really work. ![]() ![]() |

Even then, if he intends to use the top box as a theft prevention device (movement tracking paintball/BB gun for example), I say the top box should be reviewed, before being so heavily berrated. |
