Clocks - SV650.org

Hi everybody,

I have a 1999 naked SV650 and trying to find a decent screen. I like the naked look of the bike it's just that I would like a bit of wind deflection, so been trying various headlight screens but nothing seems to fit around the clocks. As the rev counter sticks out to the side, so I was wondering if it was an easy fix to put the newer clock set on the older SVs?

For new model SVs clocks then i think this has been covered, its in the FAQ section i believe

Hi,
Sorry dude can't find anything in FAQ of anywhere, so if any body could help I would be gratefull. Simple will the clocks off a newer sv fit on an old T sv.

I think they physically fit but will need rewiring and the rev counter won't work as the pointy takes the signal from the ECU rather than directly from the coils like the curvy.

Puig used to do a screen called a "Windy" which fits pretty well, a little tight around the rev counter (as you might expect), but it fits.

My dad's got one, and Stormspiel had one on his old SV. Busters do them (although it wasn't in the newest catalogue), it might have been re-named as the "Sport" screen, as it looks pretty much the same.

Looks a lot better in real life than the Busters pics do it justice.
