Default Classic biker ?

Ahoy i was just thinking, ive had my 99 T plate curvey blue since new & it occured to me at what point does this become a classic bike.

I have started to think that fuel injection is the Devils work

& if as ive started to think it is already a classic, when should i replace my leathers with an old scruffy wax cotton belstaff jacket & trousers replace my lid with a open faced lid & goggles.

Jas...

Am i a lost cause ......?

As far as 'classic' status is concerned, the curvey SV s gained it the day they were manufactured.
However, the pointy SV s have to work considerably harder and may never actually have that
honour bestowed on them.

That's because even from day one they were inferior to the Hornet and so obsolete......

The Hornet's practically a classic. At least, it has the engine out of a classic. Only not as powerful

He's not started anything, it's merely a continuation It'd be less fun if they weren't both great bikes though...

ISTR that the first Blades are going to be eligible for classic insurance from some brokers soon... That's, what, 92?

Yup '92. I've heard this rumour too - not sure how valid it is though.

It used to be that any vehicle that was 25 years old or over was considered a classic as far as road tax was concerned - then they abolished that just a couple of years before my MGB would have qualified.
