As the title asks, will this Halfords 860W Grinder (£14.49) be OK?

definitely, the sparks can damage the paintwork too. Worth covering everything up

I used a hacksaw and two blades.
The feeling of accomplishment after 30 minutes was well worth it! ![]() (Oh and total cost approx £5) |

Although it'll get threw most of it without a problem, as It's only a 4 or 41/2 inch job it won't reach all the way so you may need to cut the last bit by hand (or go from the top then bottom).
Cheers Mark.
