Angry Rant at Neds! (bent forks!)

I had been out for lovely drive on the bike today, went down the coast. When I got home I parked the bike up (got her all chained up) and was sitting talking to my partner who was cleaning his bike. Next thing I see this car reversing into my bike!!! I start running towards him shouting things I am not allowed to post here, just as I got to him the police turned into my street (bit of luck) I was going mad shouting at him as he had dragged my bike half way accross the pavement, thankfully it was still standing as it was pushed into the side of the side stand.

The guy did apologise saying he didnt see it parked there, I was still shouting at this point asking him how he could miss the bike (its big enough). Anyway the police got me to check for any damage, thankfully there wasnt any. I was shaking from rage and realy wanted to go for the guy in the car but couldnt as I would have got arrested.

(Also am in the huff now cos the smillies aint working for me, so HUMPH!) :P

If he reversed into your bike i would get it looked at properly for damage rather than just looking at it yourself, might be something youve not noticed

There was nothing visible and she drove fine but might stop by the local garage and get her checked over, also got a note of his reg plate if there is anything up.

Bit of luck for the neds by the sounds of it! Hell hath no fury...

But reversed into and dragged across the pavement with no damage done? That's more than lucky

I have various scratches and dents all over my bike for just such an occasion!

i was hit a little while back only at 5mph or less, but the woman hit my exhaust (a CCC one) which at 1st glance appeared ok. closer inspection revealed that it was cracked though and the pillion footpeg was bent, £460 later she's still wondering how she hit me, when it's bright yellow!!

I got reversed into by a van driver who wasn't payin attention and apparently didn't hear my 110db exhaust!!!! First he new was the back of the van lifting up as it rolled up my wheel! (horn must have been warm cuz it didn't work!)

Luckily no damage and I managed to wheel my bike back far enough to not end up trapped under bike and van but I could've killed the w**ker!

I went to the local garage today only to be told that my front forks have been bent!! Went to the police station to report it that went fine but when I called my insurance company they checked the cars reg plates (that reversed into me) and its came up invalid reg number. I then got in contact with the local concierge to see if they had on video as our whole area is covered with cameras, waiting to hear back from them. Knowing my luck it will be a dodgy car with false plates! Also me being the idiot that I am didnt get a note of his name or any of his details as I was that angry and not thinking straight. So how many different words for idiot can you think of???

Quite a few!
A not at fault accident with the police on scene & you didn't exchange details?
What did the policeman say when you contacted them again? or have you not got their details either?
Just what is the point of getting upset at the time?

The police just happened to be there at the time, the police were pretty helpfull took a note of all my details and what had happened and then the good old line "we will be in touch" as the station next to me is only a sub station and the report will get handed over to the main one for this area.

The police that were there at time, I didnt get there details (I know I will go hang my head in the corner) Probably one of the stupidest things I have ever done, so at the end of the day its my own stupid fault for not getting all the details.
