21/5/07 recd thank you letter and keyfacts plus quote from insurers. Sends off cheque and acceptance all signed up and double checked. The cheque enclosed was dated 5 working days before the insurance was due to come in force[11/06/07],allowing time for it to clear.
5/6/07 I phoned to make sure all was in order and told that they had not recd the cheque but had the completed insurance request forms Bells start ringing,if you have one where is the other------------complete denial and told me I was mistaken and that they did not accept cheques. Further complication being told that I had been misquoted on the price. They suggested I cancel the cheque and pay by credit card,OK,who is paying the bank charge on my business account for stopping the cheque?[£20] I decided that I had to have insurance so I opted for basic comprehensive cover and paid £209:74 on my card. 9/6/07 Basic insurance cert arrives with a demand for a further cheque for £25 to cover the cost of legal protection, this was recorded delivery 10/6/06 Original quote insurance arrives including legal protection at the original quote price. I phone my bank and the cheque has been cashed and paid to the insurance broker, this being the cheque they never recd. Five phone call later they admit they have made a mistake which is all well and good but how are you going to refund my £209:74? Oh we will refund it to your card which takes about 4 weeks from the end of the month,or we can send a cheque in 7-10 days. Send a cheque please. 18/6/07 a letter requesting the second insurance cert be returned and can I please send the cheque for £25 legal cover. This is the company who don't accept cheques and for cover I have already paid for in the first quote. I have just been on an 8 day tour of Scotland and I expected the refund to be here on my return 9/7/07 Three phone calls today, 1st,it was sent on the 27/6/07 but may have been held up by the post strikes.2nd,no it was only raised on the 27/6/07 and didn't go out till the end of the month. 3rd,no you can't speak to the supervisor or she would not speak to me and the customer service manager doesn't take call from customers. STILL NO CHEQUE,GOD KNOWS WHEN,BUT I PRAY I NEVER HAVE TO MAKE A CLAIM THROUGH------------YES----BENNETTS Sorry but if I treated my customers like this I would be out of business Rant over ![]() Last edited by Dicky Ticker; 09-07-07 at 05:58 PM. I feel your insurance pain! I'd list all of the grief I've had with Suzuki's official insurance company (Express) but I'd drive myself to suicide! Let's just say that if I bought a new GSXR I'd rather buy my own policy than take up the £99 special offer!
