Default Recommend me a set of scales?

I've got some kitchen scales that do up to 5kg, and some bathroom scales which are OK for weighing something the size of an actual person, but a big gap inbetween. Most scales that can deal with 20kg or so seem to be for professional use and very expensive- can anyone recommend a reasonably priced (ie, cheap) set of decently accurate scales that'll do... Oh, 10kg at a minimum but 20kg would be better... I've become obsessed with the weight of things

The weight of what things?

cauldrons?
Socket sets?
Barbells? (clue- the weight is written on the side!)
St Bernards?

Or are you planning a Himalaya mission and need to load your rucksack for training?

I resent paying 7 times more for postage than for the item But I'll hve one anyway, it might be rubbish but it's not much to gamble.

I've one of these in the loft,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SALTER-AND-BRE...606921ViewItem

they always worked well, no variation in reading no matter where the load was placed.
