Default Cleanliness inspection from Kwak required!

Here are some (rather bad I'm afraid) pics I've taken with the progress in cleaning my bike up for sale.

Points out of ten please Kwak for the spring and the swingarm bearing in mind I've never cleaned them in four and a half years!

Thanks Kwak.

Downpipe noted. I'll do that in Thursday along with fitting a new clamp. You can see the rot on the one there!

No it's not purple, it was taken in bad light but someone left the white balance on flourescent so I had to correct the colour a bit before I posted.

What about the swing arm and spring though? Eh? Eh?

I'll give you 8 out of ten for not cleaning your chain and also not polishing your dogbones (which count as half a point each).
A clean chain allways gives the impression that you've really put your heart and soul into keeping your bike in tip-top form throughout it's life and is the icing on the cake for a clean bike (it's a messy job though).

I was going to deduct another point for your downpipes (yes both of them) but I see you're gonna sort that out.
Polish EVERYWHERE, even the bits people won't see.

As far as your shock and swingarm goes, i'll give you 9/10, for the simple reason of "the likes of Kwak and myself are never satisfied"

Btw, you missed a bit on your oil cooler

Cheers Brian. What's the best way to clean a chain? I have chain cleaner spray but never done it! I've had it done though. Do I just turn the rear wheel and spray the ***t out of the chain catching any mess that falls off? I've got some rust on my lower triple clamp (I think-holds the forks together!). How do I go about getting rid of that?

if it's been cleaned as little as you say then WELL DONE! she's come up a treat, i find car engine oil cleans chains up well but it does make load of fling for a few 100 miles, i also use wd40 on a rag, have also been known to clean the links with autosol but when you get to this stage that both me and cuz have got to then you DO! have a problem.
