Have we really got nothing to say...
Today I did something out of the ordinary ... I was awoke at 9:00 then had my breakfast made for me with a nice cuppa tea, Very nice thank you. then Sunday bests were donned and off to Church... Yes Church. as my son was being enrolled into Beavers, (pre Cubs) Was stuck inbetween 4 gossips infront and 3 behind... Never again am I going to put myself through that, reminded me of a William Shakespear Play, Macbeth, Act IV, Scene I Boil thou first I' the charmed pot. Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble. So apart from that I had to try and find a new SkyDigi Box. off the shelf... from Comet...( No joy), Currys ... Same, Argos... No. then had a 30 minute talk to a lady call Bianca from India on the Sky phone line... then 25 minutes later had another talk with Desmond, same place but he managed to get all the stuff I wanted sorted... ![]() In the end I got a donated digi box and got the card re programmed for it. So wife is happy as Sky is working, Jake is happy as hes a Beaver, Holly is happy as She as she was just Victorious playing Star Wars Battle Fronts... I'm happy now as every one is in bed and I get some peace and Quiet. ![]() So how about you lot... what did you get up to this weekend?

It was my daughter's 8th birthday this weekend, so Saturday was me and Mrs Bluepete with 9 kids at the cinema watchingh Ratatouille then off to Pizza Hut for a party. We had taken a cake which would be brought out, candles lit for us to sing Happy Birthday to Meg. However, there was another birthday group in who saw our cake coming out and started singing to THEIR birthday girl! The look on her face when the cake came to us was priceless. There were tears, wailing, throwing of plates and general tantrums all 'round. Thing was, the other birthday girl was abouot 15 or so!
Then yesterday was the familly party at home. Usual suspects of cake, crisps and crap pop abounded, too much excitement and tired kids. Early bath, bed and relax with a glass of red! Sarah, why is there carpet on that wall?

This weekend, I watched my sister get married (the last of 3 to be married), and then spent most of Sunday at my parents relaxing and doing generally, stuff-all (read: recovering).
![]() So, a productive weekend, even if I only goton my bike to trundle over to Church before heading off to the parents. |

Friday PM: Bought my new mountain bike. Watched the argies beat the French again from the comfort of my couch.
Sat Am, went surfing, nice clean sets coming in with the sun out, caught some nice waves until my leash snapped whilst out the back when a big set came in. It was a long swim back in, luckily my board missed the pier (and certain damage) by mere metres. Sat PM took the new mountain bike out for a spin then drive across to Masham/Kirkby Malzeard in a swift fashion. Sat night, Out in Masham to watch the rugby. Sun drive back in the mrning then a long afternoon out on the mountain bike, getting chucked off numerous times at various locations in the moors. Sun pm watch GP, cook eat. |

Saturday: Went wedding ring shopping in 'Arrods with Mrs Ooger-to-be.
Sunday: 1) Removed ivy from neighbours garage roof and guttering causing my walls to be wet on the inside. Consequently have scratched and torn hands, sore knees, and loads of bags of crud to get rid of. 2) Then I tried drilling the holes for my ground anchor, only to find the garage floor seems to be made of some kind of titanium-strength concrete. Generally Sunday was the least painful day. ![]() |
