If I had the money I would without a doubt. I'm still paying my old one off (finance finishes in july) so may be tempted to get something then.

I did register on that forum but i don't think i ever posted. might have to give it a look.

i had a 2001 1.8 zetec focus from 9 months old, i owned this car for 3 years and then sold it to my mate and hes still running it with no problems, its got 75k on the clock now.

This is my model - a 1.8 petrol. Thing is Kwak I can imagine how you would have looked after it - the reliability is not determined by the best looked after cars but the worst ones (or the "less well looked after" ones).

Mine was not really that well looked after, but no worse than some of the old (20 yrs+) BMWs I've experience with. Ford designs things so they can't last, they aren't rugged, tough, which is the problem

Heh, yeah I guess for the crap design stuff that doesn't apply, but I've had a few probs - not the major issues to be fair, most of those are design - with finish and it making things difficult to get apart, etc. I reckon that's pretty well looked after on ex-kwak motors
