They're such cool dogs my mate had one from a puppy.

Could quite easily use it as transport and at least it wouldn't matter if it snowed

Id strongly recommend that you go for it, theres no experience like it..! I shall upload my mini video (onto facebook) I made in Finland when I was on the husky ride. I sound really odd on it because my voice went from shouting at the dogs to get them going

Story behind that is: the pack of dogs me and matt had for the daytime husky ride were scared of the snowmobile up in front (snowmobile, pack 1 then our dogs then pack 3,4, & 5 behind ours). This meant that the leader kept stopping and flopping the the ground which disrupted all the other dogs who wanted to keep going. They got all tangled up and I had to jump out the sledge in knee deep snow trying to untangle them whilst the snowmobile and pack 1 went off into the distance (I was mega scared) but luckily some others behind came and helped. Eventually the snowmobile came back and the sami woman put into the middle pack.But.... it kept flopping down and being dragged along which meant matt had to keep stopping and I had to keep jumping out to pull it back up and untangle it and basically get it going. Well scary thing to happen in the middle of nowhere..!

But dont let that put you off, we were just unlucky. the nightime husky ride with a completely different pack of dogs was brilliant

Did you buy the sami boots that the herders wear-made from reindeer pelt-well warmer than any man made material.

Some of your post is wrong there mate -they make great pets, take it from me with a growing young family -any k9 left on its lonesome will become bored and find amusement in its own way, a dog should never be kept on its own as by its nature they are a pack animal and to keep one in solitude is cruel.
I can let kia off the lead with no probs, a few mates who have huskies also can let them off with no probs.Only problems arise when they get a whiff of another animal , but thats the same as any dog that gets near a horse, sheep etc.

Obviously i can only go from what i have heard when researching what breed was the most suitable for my situation. My german shepherd is left in her kennel for up to 6 hours in the day completely undestructive, from what i heard, if this was a husky there would be a different result.

gonna get six of the little darlings, and use them as my winter transport. Imagine the sight of me being pulled down euston road in the bus lane by my own team of huskie's, and me shouting at the top of my voice to encourage them
