I think tent person ratings (TPR) are for sardine style habitation, in other words just people, no kit allowed. Real world rating is always "TPR-1", especially when bike touring and you have all the clobber.
![]() Having switched from a dome to a tunnel variety a couple of years back, I'd say always go for a tunnel with a porch, way more practical. A lot of them you can leave the inner and outers attached and just slip the poles in/out of the sleeves, makes for much quicker erections when the going gets damp.

YC and me use a Vango 2 man tent, think it's the Omega 250? We've used it at a number of rideouts now, it's been fantastic. Needs a waterproofing now though but we love it. Looks similar to yours but without the little extra compartment at the end. Does us grand, can get the panniers and everything in the outer compartment.
