Oh, and I think my front end feels light with Izi on it because we're over 10 kilos heavier than you and lissa

Best of luck with the house buying Plowsie. I agree with Soulkiss about not selling the bike but I suppose it's the running costs as well. Us oldens tend to forget how much stuff like insurance is.

Skip, I can't believe you've been so negligent towards your black beauty. Know what you mean about mentally already owing another bike though.

Svrich, well worth doing the subframe if you can spare the time. Also then you could tidy up the rear loom and help prevent those annoying electrical failures.

Mr Speirs, I think MS are doing servicing on the other side of the building now. So what did Kerri think of the 749? You know that the S has a bit more horsepower than a standard one, so might be a good compromise before your 848.

Sean, you and Izi must have been tucking in over the Xmas is all I can say. Have you tried hoiking up the preload a bit on the shock? Funny, cos the forks are shorter so you'd think the weight would still be over the front. Perhaps it's those wavies?

Anyway folks, looking forward to meeting up with you all, and hopefully more peeps, later in the year. But not much later!

Sorry K, you can go back to your deep sleep now.

Pete, its me that makes the 10 kilo difference I'm going to adjust it bit by bit, no point yet though as I dont have the chance to get out on it It might just have been all the ice about though, or that it was the first time taking a pillion with the new suspension..

Kerri liked it I think. She did say...'Where am I guna sit?' as it was a Monopisto so I am on the lookout for a BP or she'll get upset Im not too fussed whether its the S model or not just not an R but them an R is guna be pretty expensive and outta my price range.

Was thinking about popping over to JHP soon too to see if they still have that 749 Dark with all the bling bits. They haven't been advertising it on their website. I also saw that 848 has been sold too. Lucky git whoever got that, Maybe they'll pop up on the ducatisti forum.

Basically have decided that though I would love an 848 it probably isn't the best idea seen as how we are trying to save for a house deposit. So in May when I sell the Lexus I should have hopefully about £4.5k knocking about with a bit to spare for bits and a new helmet. So a 749 seems like a good option.

They don't advertise bikes as 'cheap' as that one

Seen it before with them, had bikes for sale under 5k, never shown on their website.

Maybe.

I'll never forget when we started looking for a Duke, Pete popped in there and they'd just sold a 748 for just under 4k. Pete asked if they thought they would have any more 748's in and the reply was 'We don't normally sell bikes that cheap'

Good job I wasn't with him that day!

Hi All, Happy New Year to the EAR crew. Not been about much lately as busy with work, thats all stopped now as was made redundant just before xmas. I always liked the company I worked for, such caring and considerate b******s/people.
I did the Rutland Chapter hospital toy run to pboro hospital just before xmas and thats the last time the bike was out.
Hope to see you on the next rideout.
Take care.
