Had similar problem with Orange - over 10hrs on the phone to Indian call centres - total waste of time - a bit of googling got an english call centre with equally useless but more sympathetic call handlers- you could always try to get the companies manager home phone number and threaten to burn their pets or something like that if you dont get reconnected but I think it's less stressful/illegal just to get a new ISP. Sky have been good for me.

Any other suggestions ideas? I finally got through to a UK call centre, though didn't find out anything new.

I just need to get the broadband working again, a week really is getting bad. Can you get rid of them, whilst the line is down? Would that not casue problem for the ISP that you would go with?

My housemate has had Talktalk, for over 2 years its been working all that time until know far as I am aware.

i left talk talk in jan for virgin, well i thought i did phoned them to cancell ok they said only they never cancelled, instead they gave me £20 credit hence the next bill i got was only about £5 which i thought was for the remainder of the month and it was now paid off, how wrong can you be, months go bye and i get bills for £40 so phone them find out it's not cancelled, a few phone calls to India later shall we cancell it then, oh go on then sais i seems as though you should have done it 3 months ago.
So i was disputing paying the bill, two days ago we get a letter from a bayliffs office, so i thought i'd better pay the £60 it had gone up to, will wait and see now as i'm sure the bayliffs will still come round.
Best bet for you get it paid off and switch asap, ours went down turned out the line had been cut by british gas, took them two weeks to lay a new line, complained issued a complaint no and that was as far as it whent. Talk talk are ******* **** with a capital F S.
