keep em on, as you'll square off the new tyres on the French roads....

i'd be tempted to change it for all the motorway miles youre gonna be doing but maybe let some air out first and tap the centre of the tyre and then the sides and see if that gives you any indication of how thin the centre might be just now. in fairness most of my commute on them was motorways so the sides looked like they were almost new when the centre started to dissapear.

If you are in doubt, change them. It will spoil your trip if you are constantly worrying about how much tread you have left.

Change them, keep the 'old' tyres, and use them once you have used the new ones up..
4mm front and 2-2.5 mm is too much to waste. Garage won't be unhappy about you taking away the old tyres, as they won't have to get rid of them. |

Change them.
Diablos wear out without warning. Trust me I know! Also tyre places are not that frequent. Imagine trying to get a new tyre in a part of the world you don't know in this country let alone abroad where a lot of bike shops shut Monday, or used to, as well. |

I think you'd be daft to leave them on, if the roads get a bit wet you're asking for trouble. It's not like you haven't had your money's worth from the tyres anyway.
If you change them, you might even enjoy the trip more as tyre concerns won't be in the back of you mind. |

Well, surely you'll get another rear to that front, 4mm on a Strada is like LOADS of miles anyway, especially on the front..
so just buy a rear. ![]() |

Could have had them swapped and done by now
![]() What does a new set cost, something like £200 maximum. You might get another £10 worth of riding out of them if you are lucky. Personally I would have replaced them and forgotten about it by now. |
