thay have there own brakets and fit in the cut out bits in the farings.

I know this as i fitted the r&gs to mine the other week and i have the lowers. no cutting needed.
Just watch the top bolt on the right side. its steel in alloy so it snapped off had to drill in and get a left hand stud extractor on it then re-tap the hole. took nearly 2 hours in the end.

got the r&gs of fleebay
I'm a tad worried about this. Will be fitting mine soon but having snapped an engine bolt last weekend and having to get it drilled out I'm not too happy about taking another 2 engine bolts out!

Is there anything aside from soaking it in WD40 for a few days and heating it up I can do to ensure it doesnt snap?

Cheers,

Toby

WD40 isn't a really good penetrating oil, get some Plus Gas.

If someone is doing the broken bolt out for you, then get them to use their air impact wrench to loosen them for you. Using sockets and large long levers on bolts is a sure fire way to snap them.
