There's always a smart one.

Have you tried that on my Triumph where the entire filter is recessed into the sump casing and you can't get a screwdriver to the sides of it?

Triumph do make a specific filter removal tool that goes into the recess, but K&N filters mean you don't need to buy it.

Besides, thats a gorillas method for removing a filter not a mechanics, and it spills oil everywhere.

I've used both and I can't say I've felt or noticed a difference really, just as people have said about the K&N filters having a nut on the top.
