The forks work well enough for less than spirited riding. If you want to go out there and have some real fun, then I would suggest that you would find the front less than inspiring, in some instances less than capable.
Easy fix for this is as you have already stated. Springs and oil. Some prefer linear others progressive. I have Maxton linear with 15 weight oil and the transformation is good. Much more stable and solid with weight changes and direction changes. The front is more than capable after this mod. ![]() |
