I just came across it while doin some more searching. The abba dealer quoted me 230 USD for the stand and I have to drive a few hours north to canada to pick it up. I'd still probably do it if it were worth it but I came across that lift and it seems like a solid alternative.

Edit: just read some reviews and they're all saying it failed on them.. bah!

Local garage here is selling one of these for £60. (about $115 US), so not often we get cheaper than you guys. Still was not interested as did not look stable.

I stuck car axle stands under my crash bungs - just made sure they were as close to the bike as possible, to reduce the load on the end of the bung! Not sure if this was the best idea, but at the time I had no ther options and hey - it worked!
