A radial master cylinder gives no more ultimate braking power but it does give a lot more feel between full on and full off, I like it a lot and consider it an excellent up grade,
I use a radial brembo 19 x 18 ( not the forged flashy one that Northy has) with a switch kit in the banjo bolt for the brake light, and an adaptor to allow stock lines which are too short without it.
E bay "radial master cylinder" search will bring up the adaptor and the banjo switch.
Cheers

It doesn't actually need the seals, just the adjuster shaft and thumbscrew, but I figure it's good practice with brakes to replace consumable parts as I disturb them. I can get a repair kit from yoyodyne in the states for about $40, just looking for a local supplier but they seem to have dried out, just like the rebuild kits.

Annoying company, Brembo

Difference between radial and axial is just the way the lever applies pressure onto the piston, in real terms it makes practically difference, it's a wee bit more direct and allows for less flex etc. A great axial like an ISR is better than a less great radial like an OE spec Brembo if you ask me. But these days, most people won't pay money for a really good axial, they'd sooner have a rubbish radial. So naturally, if you're going to make an aftermarket part, you make it a radial- as a result, the best master cylinders in the world are now all radial.

The Brembos are great though, like I say I doubt I could tell the difference between mine and the more sensible cast one in a daz doorstep challenge. As Pod says, it doesn't make more power, it just makes it better... Feel and progressiveness, it's a very linear effect with no squash, no wasted movement, none of that disconnected feel you can get. It's one of the mods that actually makes me better, I reckon. The R6 radial was the same, and a better match for SV parts btw.

kcowgergmm, to be honest I can't advise on which one to get, I reckon it's down to taste. Some people like the very short stiff action of a bigbore, it feels more powerful and immediate, but I prefer the subtlety of the smaller bore. Either would work well for your parts though. The R6 one is reasonable, it's not as good but then it should be about half the cost. The recent Ninjas use a pretty decent item too.
