Guessing that the alarm's own battery is now flat.
Have you got a car /bike battery that you can jump lead in? |

Just for the check, the main / starter relay has 2 fuses, one live, one spare, are both definitely fine? If so I'd break out a multimeter and see what gives. It is possible that the alarm immobiliser is stuck on, though on my ZX6 the immobiliser being on means I still get lights, but no instruments. Could be different on your bike or your alarm.

Yeah I'll need to go round it with a toothpick and perhaps a multimeter later when I have more time. Not even getting power to the alarm LED either...so really not sure where to start

Well the alarm supply will be a seperate issue. it should have it's own battery thats charged from the bike. It's to stop thieves being able to disable alarm by just cutting off bike battery. It might have drained down overnight as the bike battery was indoors being recharged. So personally I would concentrate on getting some power to the instrument lights and go from there.

Had a similar problem last week. Got all ready for work, got on bike, press the alarm keyfob and FA happened. Came to the conculsion that my Meta 357T had suddenly decided not to work anymore (battery fine, fuses fine, no flashing LED...)
![]() I just took the alarm unit off, left all the wires in place and put jumpers in wiring plug. Therfore if I need to put a unit back it, can do it easily. So if you've got a Meta 357T (I had a version 1 but believe the version 2 to be the same) and recon that that is the problem, PM me and I'll let you know which wires in the plug I jumped together - save you having to strip all the tape off the wires and trace them all through ![]() |

Could be that the main fuse box/relay is knackered- this happened to mine. I went through a spell of being able to get it to fire by wiggling the fuse, since it was a contacts issue, but that only lasted a while. A new part's about £45, but obviously it's a bit premature for that just now. Mine failed at 31000 I believe.

Got there in the end, ta for all help and advice along the way!!!!
Turned out there looks to have been a short that's caused a bit of electrical mayhem. There's a little green connector thingy just in front of the airbox (in a rather hard to get at spot!!) that had part of it totally blackened and I think this also killed the alarm unit as well as once it was all fixed the unit was totally dead. Turned out the company who installed it didn't bother to stick a fuse inline to protect it!!!! Ah well!!!! |
