This applies to the people who do either average mileage or in excess of 12.000miles p.a.
Please state your annual mileage in replies

why average mileage or over 12000?? are those who do less inferior??

I may not do too many miles, but I ride all year round, to and from work, and for pleasure. Also ridden across the pond to Bordeaux and back.
I have ridden since 2002, and have a full clean licence

Just used that figure as it seems this is the figure that insurance companys use,no derisory intent. My wife has a 10 year old car that has only done 32k but she has a clean license.I was trying to work out the increase risk factor for higher milage drivers

Ummmmm, do lots of miles.

Not been caught "yet" on the bike, but did get 6 points for an average of 116mph and 131mph peak in the diddy Corsa In 2004 I think.

Only caught once in the early 70's by a young copper in a Minivan. Clean since then. Luckily no fixed cameras in North Yorks

Got done at 18, but never since. Been racking up between 12-20k each year since I passed.

Somebody once said that anybody caught speeding should be done for driving without due care as it's all about observation...

I've had my full licence for just over 3 years but I rode for 2 on CBT before that- still totally clean, my current annual mileage is about 12000 miles but I had a couple of years when I only did about 3-4000- early on because my bike spent 8 months of the year up on bricks, and the year after I did my leg in because I was off the bike for 4 months and couldn't deal with more than half an hour in the seat for a long time after.

In all honesty I will get caught some day, but not yet.

1 year cbt + 3 years full on bike (4 years total)
average mile: 6,000
a couple of slaps on the wrist.. but still clean - although license is currently "not in use" due to injuries.

6 months car,
average mile: 12,000
still clean, 1 close call

Been on bikes for the past 18 years or so (never got the hang of a car) points at first were an issue.

0 to 3 to 6 (speed traps) to 0 then to 11 in 3 days (ooooops!!!) followed by 3 years of riding like an angel to 0, been at 0 for a ling time now (thankfully)

Milage a lot less than it used to be at about 6k a year now (used to be 40k+ doing the rally circuit most weekends or 65k+ dispatching) though 90% of my ride is the daily commute into /shudder - Westminster
