Glad you're having a nice time.

Is your name Sean/Shaun - or are you a skinhead?

lol, its Sean.

Well back home now and Day 1 is complete. This afternoon felt much better, really started to settle into it. I took my time a bit more and made sure I was getting everything in order and within plenty of time. This morning I was trying to rush all the maneovers and was leaving things too late, but hey ho, it was the first time i'd been out on a bigger bike. We did some U-Turns this afternoon, did about 6 and all went fine, (no feet down!) We also got up to 70mph, which I had done on my old 125, but it was amazing how quickly the bike got there, and makes me even more excited about getting on the SV.

Our instructor seemed pretty pleased with us, and his only concern with me was my running through a pedestrian crossing when the lights were amber!

We also stopped off in Hein Gericke for a cup of tea on the way home, and I got a severe blasting by one of the guys in there for putting my gloves inside my helmet. Apparently it shouldn't be done for some reason (ruins the inside of the helmet?) but I was a bit taken aback and didn't quite understand what he meant (everyone around us laughed as its something he "teaches" everyone that comes in with gloves in their helmet!)

Overall though it was a really good day and I thoroughly enjoyed it, cannot wait until tomorrow to get out again!

Well just finished Day 2 and it was pretty tough going, or at least felt it. Started of really well and felt as though it was following on from where I left of yesterday. Then I had to take the lead at one point this morning and it went to rat sh*t! I really found concentrating hard and was rushing everything, dont get me wrong, I didnt do anything dangerous it was just very untidy!

The afternoon finished much better and felt like I was back where I was yesterday afternoon. The test is tomorrow at 10.40am and I'm already feeling pretty nervous, but Im gonna get a gooood nights sleep in and not think about it until tomorrow!

well after a sleepless night last night today finally came! Went out this morning before the test and had a good ride, which helped settle some nerves, then to the test centre. I was first up, went through the formalities, and then out to the bike. "pull away when your ready" so into first a bang, bike cuts out, sidestand is still down. Sh*t! So composed myself and off I went, felt it went ok but was a bit sketchy about some things. Back to the room and await my result.
