But........if your chest is huuuge then it will make your belly look smaller?

If you just want a chest workout then try:

Standard pressup - feet & arms both on level ground
Incline pressup - feet on ground, arms on raised ground (i.e. sofa)
Decline pressup - feet raised, arms on ground.

Do 3 sets of each type of pressup with 15, 20 reps per excercise. That'll get you going. When you want to up the difficulty, wear a rucksack with weights in it or get the kids to sit on you!

If you want to cut bodyfat there is no other alternative than a healthy, balanced diet and regular cardio (30mins per session). There is no quick and easy fix I am afraid. It boils down to a simple mathematic equation; to lose fat you must burn more calories per day than you consume.

Good luck, if you want any further help or advice feel free to PM me.

I like honesty... I'm well aware of my fatness... no point beating about the bush with me. I'm going to the gym and doing stuff, I was just thinking of something that I can do each morning before I go to work. Something that I can do in the little space I have in my room, I ain't running about London, some fool will shot me or something.

I think I will give this a go... with the sit-ups, time is what I have, so best use it. No more gills comments next year I hope, lol.

I use one of these

If you're doing it properly you can really feel it working, more so than just sit-ups IMO

You can work different muscles in your stomach by rolling out at an angle.

But, as has been said already, you need to do cardio to burn off the excess fat, but this roller will tone it up nicely underneath

Well I have been building up my legs, arms and chest at the moment, while also working on my stamina, as when I started I could just about run a mile.
I've been working through those things and I think the levels I have now are acceptable. But I'm seeing little progress on my moobs and belly, so I feel that maybe I should concentrate on those.
At the moment I tend to do 2000m on the rowing machine, 5k on the cycle, and various exercises with weights, plus 60 press-ups and 60 site stomach 'sit-ups'.

Though now I think I'll add the 60-60 to my daily rota too.

That's all good little fella, but diet (what and how much you eat, not go on a diet) is what will give the best results. Lay off the pies and cakes and go for lean meat, veggies etc. Pasta and rice in moderation and go for wholemeal pasta and brown rice if you can bear it.

indeedy. its all about what goes into the ol' pie hole matey. exercise is a neccessity to lose weight and tone, but eat the wrong stuff and it wont help none.

i'm doing sit ups and benching every night (miss the occassional friday/saturday when out), lost half a stone in last 2 weeks. i'm not bothered too much about my weight, now 15 1/2 stone, its the flabbiness im trying to rid.

I remember my instructor once told me, diet is the single most important factor for how your body looks. So get that right and you're laughing. I know it's hard matey. It took me so long to stop snacking at work. So now I eat every 3 hours and always fresh if I can, processed foods are a no-no if they can be avoided. Forward planning is the key!!

Good luck El Grincho! Next time I see you I expect you to be buff!
