Just flicking through the BBC website and came across this:

On Thursday, Mr Davey (Energy Secretary Ed Davey) advised that people "just need to do the sensible thing... get a full tank of petrol, not a half-tank". (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17558294)

What a absolute Muppet!! How do people like this get into a position of authority??

No wonder there are fuel panics if you've got this lump of turd at the top of the line!

LOL - the number of people who told me they were voting conservative at the last election really shocked me. Everytime I asked if they had forgotten about 16% interest rates, strike action EVERYWHERE, buggered economy etc. I appreciate they've inherited the majority of this from Labour but bloody hell, they've brought fireworks to a tanker fire.

Mate, what a stupid statement.

Are you on the wind up or really that ignorant?

Firstly, what party would you have voted in? Or would you have left labour in charge? If the latter, then FFS there's no hope for you.

Secondly, it's unite and the fuel industry that have the problem over strikes and fuel delivery, this has next to nothing to do with any government.

So think a bit a more about what you're typing if you wanna be taken seriously.

Btw, if you're gonna call somebody a muppet, at least spell the sentence correctly

It was mad yesterday , I had to queue for 20 minutes ,everyone was frustrated and doing looney things. Guy behind me almost ran me over jumping for my pump before I'd even got all the jerry cans in the boot!

I blame the government

How is that different from:

To me, and I'd hope most sensible people, that reads as fill it up if your going anyway. In no way does it say "ahhh we must all panic and go and queue at petrol stations immediatly". What the press other than the BBC report it as is a different manner - I'm sure some have quoted that as "Energy minister says...get a full tank."

Balls to conspiracy theories. He was answering a direct question that he was asked. Admittedly he was on the programme to clear up a c0ck-up his colleague made re jerry cans, but how much would everyone be moaning if he'd just ducked the question ("ahhh, what do we do, we're sheep. Someone please hold my hand"), and how much would labour and the red top press be slating them if they said nothing.

Seriously? You think this has come from the Tory Government? When did the recession start again?

By that logic then everyone who has voted labour since 97 is responsible for all the stealth taxes (including policies on speed cameras and fines etc), the wars in Afganistan & Iraq and the state of the economy at the start of the recession?
